ICP Wind supplies a wide range of carbon brushes, both in copper- and silver-graphite materials. Manufactured to perform in extreme conditions, including cold and warm climates, low or high humidity, for onshore and offshore located wind turbines.

Shaft grounding is one of the necessary actions during the operation of different types of motors and generators. Grounding brushes eliminate bearing currents that can lead to the formation of small pits, grooves, and serrations on the contact points of bearings. A damaged surface on the contact points of bearings will lead to increased wear and shortened service life. Therefore, grounding brushes protect bearings from damages and wind turbines from unnecessary downtime and costly repairs.

Carbex develops brushes in close cooperation with several wind turbine OEM’s, including Vestas. Each individual brush is developed to fit our customer's requirements and different turbine types. Additionally, all Carbex carbon brushes have been field-tested to prove high-quality performance in varying atmospheric conditions.
